Former NHL player Rocky Saganiuk has been coaching and teaching ice hockey for the
past 36 years. Rocky grew up in Canada where he played his youth hockey and later
was drafted and played in the NHL for the Toronto Maple Leafs and Pittsburgh Penguins.
He is a recipient of the Les Cunningham Award for the most valuable player of the
1978 – 79 AHL season while playing for the New Brunswick Hawks. When he retired
from the NHL, Rocky spent several years coaching and playing for teams in Britain.
Most recently, Rocky served as Hockey Director for the Huskies Hockey Club coaching
teams and developing programs and camps for kids at all levels of play. Currently
he is Head Coach of two youth hockey teams for the Chicago Hawks Hockey club. Rocky's
passion is to inspire kids and adults and instill in them a love for playing the game of hockey.
